As Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo looks to bring in some cash before spending any money to improve the squad, the 51-year-old counts on selling two players to bring in a decent amount of money.
The first is Julian Draxler, who, as many already know, has no interest in giving up the Paris lifestyle. It’s why not a lot of clubs have come knocking down the door to purchase the 26-year-old.
After Draxler, it’s goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, who’s back with the capital club after a season-long loan stint with Real Madrid. With Keylor Navas occupying the PSG net, there’s no future for the 27-year-old.
However, like Draxler, there’s not a lot of noise coming towards Areola.
Fulham FC is the latest club to show interest in the France international, but according to Sky Sports, the deal would be a loan option. A loan deal wouldn’t satisfy Leonardo as PSG is looking for a transfer fee.
Other than Fulham, Stade Rennais FC also remains interested in possibly buying Areola, and PSG likely won’t see a significant transfer fee as they would from a Premier League club.
