Report: Marquinhos Returned to Training on Tuesday, Expected to Feature Against Metz

Paris Saint-Germain continues to receive good news regarding its recent coronavirus outbreak. Defender Marquinhos returned to training with the team on Tuesday and is expected to feature against Metz tomorrow, according to a report from Le Parisien.

Marquinhos was among seven PSG players who recently tested positive for the coronavirus. PSG subjected him to a one-week self-isolation period as a result. Now, Les Parisiens have now not only cleared Marquinhos to resume in action, but the defender is also projected to play against Metz. The fixture will be the Brazilian’s first fixture for the club this season; he had already missed the team’s opening two Ligue 1 fixtures of the campaign.

The report also mentions that manager Thomas Tuchel will have both forward Mauro Icardi and goalkeeper Keylor Navas available for the contest tomorrow.

At the moment, PSG forward Kylian Mbappe has been the only player who tested positive for the coronavirus not to be cleared to resume training just yet.
