Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo took a leadership role on Monday when he addressed the team to stay united amid the current difficult times within the club, according to a report from RMC Sport.

PSG has not had everything go its way since the UEFA Champions League final last month. From the coronavirus outbreak within the team to the back-to-back losses in league play, PSG is currently facing adversity early in the new season.

While the club’s current distresses, Leonardo gave a speech to the players on Monday pushing the team to stay together and united. The report mentions that Leonardo’s speech had a positive tone and the sporting director was seeking to uplift the team.

PSG could begin to turn the tide on its season over the team’s upcoming league fixture against Metz. A loss would only create more problems and possible tension within the team as it can not afford to begin the campaign with three straight losses.
