Like Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus is aiming to sign a backup center-forward over the current transfer window. The two powerhouse clubs could soon be in a battle for one current free agent.
Juventus has been offered former PSG forward and current agent Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport (via TuttoMercatoWeb). There have been no reports on whether Juventus is planning on holding contract talks with the free agent forward.
Choupo-Moting was recently in talks with PSG on a possible new deal after his contract expired earlier in the summer. However, the two sides reached a standstill over a disagreement on the duration of the potential deal.
Choupo-Moting could very well be looking for a multiyear deal rather than a one-year contract that would then only make him a free agent once again next year. It remains to be seen on whether any team would be willing to offer the veteran forward a potential two or three-year deal.
