Report: Juventus Could Decide to Keep PSG Transfer Target De Sciglio Due to Alex Sandro’s Injury

Paris Saint-Germain has recently been linked with Juventus defender Mattia De Sciglio, but the club could miss out on signing the talent. Juventus is considering keeping De Sciglio amid interest from PSG due to left-back Alex Sandro’s recent injury, according to a report from the Italian-based outlet Tuttosport.

Sandro is set to miss at least two weeks of action due to a right thigh injury. Unfortunately for Juventus, his injury does not come at an ideal time as the club is set to begin its new Serie A campaign. He is slated to miss key fixtures against AS Roma and Napoli. With Sandro currently out of action, the club currently has De Sciglio and Luca Pellegrini as its only left-back options. Pelligrini has not even played a game yet for Juventus, so the club likely will roll out De Sciglio for its upcoming contests until Sandro returns.

The report mentions that PSG is still interested in signing De Sciglio over the current transfer window. But with the reigning Serie A champions currently thin out at left-back, PSG may have to look elsewhere for a reinforcement at this position as it seeks to replace the injured Juan Bernat.
