Borussia Dortmund has been revamping its youth system as of late and is now eyeing one Paris Saint-Germain prospect. Dortmund is interested in signing PSG midfield prospect Ismael Gharbi, according to a report from France Football.
Gharbi is a 16-year-old attacking midfield talent currently in PSG’s youth system. He has featured in PSG’s U16 and U17 sides. It is unclear whether the talent is open to leaving the club at this point in his career.
Dortmund is aiming to sign another prospect at the expense of PSG. The Bundesliga side had recently been in a transfer battle with PSG for Manchester City attacking prospect Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. The English prospect is reportedly set on signing with Dortmund over Les Parisiens.
PSG sure has work to do with its youth system after losing multiple players earlier this year. However, the club surely is committed to developing prospects from within its own youth system.
