The rumors of Paris Saint-Germain to land Chelsea FC’s Tiémoué Bakayoko have grown louder as Les Parisiens made the Parisian born midfielder their top priority in the transfer market.
Bakayoko checks off many boxes as he can play the defensive midfielder role, adds size to the midfield with his 6’2″ stature, and is someone that PSG sporting director Leonardo had while at AC Milan.
Chelsea and PSG have reportedly engaged in talks for the 26-year-old over a potential loan deal, but the dollars were still in the negotiation stages. Téléfoot journalist Simone Rovera reported that the South London club was asking for a loan fee of €5-million with a €40-million option to buy.
A few days have gone by since the initial report by Rovera, and it seems both sides are nearing an agreement. According to Paris Fans, Chelsea has agreed to a deal. The loan fee will consist of €7-million with an option to buy set at €16-million and €8-million in bonuses, which all adds up to a potential €31-million purchase for PSG if they decide to buy Bakayoko.
