Marquinhos Is Pleased With How PSG Has Performed Over Its Current Winning Streak

Paris Saint-Germain picked up its second away win of the Ligue 1 season when it defeated Stade de Reims by a 2-0 final score. The win gave PSG its third straight victory and moved the club up into seventh place in the league table. The club is beginning to string together strong showings after the early slow start to the season.

PSG defender Marquinhos is well satisfied with how the team has performed as of late. The Brazilian did not have much to do against Reims but still provided for a good showing with two clearances and one tackle won. The rest of the team tagged along with good enough performances in the win. Marquinhos is liking what he has seen from his teammates as of late and in speaking to Telefoot (via RMC Sport), he talked about the team’s current form.

“There are important objectives which are coming soon,” Marquinhos said. “It is very positive, it gives confidence. It shows that the collective work is well done. Over the last three games, from Marseille, the team is doing well, gaining momentum. For a start to the season, it’s important to win.”

PSG will be facing another top half of the league club up next in Angers. Les Parisiens aim to make it four wins in a row over the contest.
