Jese Rodriguez Made his Return to Action with PSG During the Club’s 1-0 Loss to Lens

Jese Rodriguez made his long-awaited return to competitive action with Paris Saint-Germain during the team’s 1-0 loss against RC Lens.

This was Rodriguez’s first fixture for PSG since last season when he played in a mere one minute in an away fixture against FC Metz. He was subsequently loaned off to Sporting CP where he played in 17 fixtures in all competitions for the club last season.

In the fixture against Lens, Rodriguez did not have much to do over his 16 minutes of playing time. He recorded 11 touches while completing three passes and losing possession for an astounding six times. He did not help PSG generate much in the attack as the club ended up recording a low one shot on target over the fixture.

With PSG still dealing with the fallout from the coronavirus outbreak within the team, Rodriguez may be in line for more playing time over the next couple of games. At the moment, his future with the club has not yet been decided, whether he goes on to remain with the team for this season or is sent off for yet another loan move.
