Bernat Provides an Update on his ACL Injury

It has been well over a week since Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat suffered an ACL injury during the team’s fixture against Metz. Now, both PSG and Bernat have good news regarding his injury.

Bernat underwent successful surgery on his left knee on Tuesday. The left-back provided an update on the surgery via his official Instagram account where he posted this message: “This morning it was my knee surgery and everything went perfectly. Another little step in recovery. Thank you very much for all the messages of support over the last few weeks.”

PSG has not yet provided an official timetable as to when the club could at the least expect him back for training. Bernat is slated to miss the rest of this year and from there, it is up in the air as to when he could come back to feature with the club. His scheduled return to action will more so depend on his rehab process from the grueling injury.

The hope is surely for Bernat to possibly make his return to action with PSG by the time the latter stages of the UEFA Champions League competition get rolling, assuming the team advances that far this season.
