Angel Di Maria Appears to Respond to Being Excluded From Argentina’s Squad List for October Fixtures

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel Di Maria was the club’s top performer in the 3-0 away win against OGC Nice. He recorded a goal, logged an assist and created five goal-scoring chances. The Argentine was the creative catalyst for his club in a much-needed win.

Following the win, Di Maria posted a message via social media that appears to be a response to him being left out of Argentina’s squad list for its upcoming international games next month. Argentina manager Lionel Scaloni picked his squad for next month’s key contests but did not select Di Maria. The Argentine midfielder apparently had his say on the matter as he responded via a post on Instagram that read “Whatever happens I will never lower my arms, I never did, less now. I always fought and I fight for my goals and my dreams, now more than ever with my head held high to continue, continue and continue.”

Di Maria has been a top performer for PSG over the past year. However, it has been a while since he has had a run of strong performances for the Argentina national team. But from PSG’s perspective, the club must be pleased to know that its star midfielder will not be traveling out of Europe during next month’s international break, especially with the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing.
