Video: This Incredible Pass From Paredes to Mbappé Nearly Led to PSG’s First Goal Against Bayern

Leandro Paredes got the start against FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final because of Marco Verratti’s fitness issues but he’s making the most of his opportunity.

Fifteen minutes into the first half, PSG found themselves on Bayern Munich’s side of the pitch as the Germans attempted to play out from the back, Paredes stepped up and played a bullet pass with his right-foot perfectly placed to Kylian Mbappé in the box.

Unfortunately for Mbappé and PSG, his shot was blocked by the Bayern defense but it was a sign that PSG can break through the press and pose a threat.

If manager Thomas Tuchel is to make a change, it will likely be either Paredes or his midfield partner, Ander Herrera, for Verratti. With this pass, it could be the former Manchester United star who heads to the bench.
