One of the Atalanta BC players to take to the microphone after their 2-1 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain was Marten de Roon, with beIN Sports relaying the comments made by the midfielder.

The 29-year-old discussed what made them successful in the first half, where they jumped out to a 1-0 lead. However, the second half was a different story as de Roon touches on the changes they made.

“We played a good first half where we made if difficult for Paris, we put them under some pressure and had some minor chances. In the second half, we sat a little deeper,” de Roon said.

Finally, the Netherlands international elaborated on the emotions he felt once the defeat sank into the squad that they were heading home.

”Probably tomorrow and the day after, when we have a little bit more time, I will be proud. I am proud of our team and the club and everyone that is involved, the city and everyone, but at this moment, I feel disappointed, and from tomorrow I will change that,” de Roon said.
