Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé was the player representative for the squad to speak with the media ahead of their UEFA Champions League final match against FC Bayern Munich, where Canal Supporters relayed his words.
One of the questions that the 21-year-old answered was whether or not he thinks that Les Parisiens are a big European club. The Ligue 1 champions have put a lot of emphasis on winning the Champions League since Qatar Sports Investment took over in 2011.
Whether some think the capital clubs are a European giant or not, they can enter that conversation if they can defeat Bayern Munich as Mbappé states.
“Is PSG a big European? Tomorrow is the opportunity to enter a circle. We know the importance of the club internationally. If we win tomorrow, we will have debates if you want,” Mbappé said.
The France international then touched on how making history in French football is one of the reasons why he chose to come to PSG in 2011.
“And make history? I came to PSG for this, to mark the history of French football, tomorrow will be the occasion. We have experienced several disappointments since 2017. We did not give up, I did not give up, I came for that,” Mbappé said.
