Paris Saint-Germain will be without Marco Verratti for their UEFA Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Atalanta BC. With the game a few days away, plenty of media outlets speculate what the midfield will look like without the Italy international.
RMC Sport is reporting that manager Thomas Tuchel is leaning towards a midfield consisting of Ander Herrera, Maqruinhos, and Idrissa Gueye. However, Daniel Riolo of RMC Sport spoke on After Foot RMC, where he has a different take for the midfield.
“I would recommend playing Paredes and Herrera with Gueye and pushing Marquinhos back in defense,” Riolo said.
Tuchel has two more days to figure out how he will compensate for the loss of Verratti, so we’ll see if he decides to go with a lineup that includes Marquinhos in the midfield or on defense.
