Video: Former PSG Midfielder on Teammates Who Had an Influence on His Career

Former Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi is wrapping up his football career in Europe as he’s now heading to the United States as Inter Miami’s newest signing.

Before heading to South Florida, Matuidi spoke with Bros Stories, which is a YouTube channel that tells stories straight from the athletes. In the interview, the 33-year-old touched on teammates who have had an impact on his career.

Matuidi included three former PSG players on his list: Zlatan Ibrahimović, Thiago Motta, and David Beckham.

“I think of Zlatan Ibrahimovic first and foremost. He’s the one who really showed me what it was like to be a competitor. He taught me not to lose, being tough sometimes, but it served me well, and I will always be grateful to him,” Matuidi said. “Thiago Motta taught me the beauty of football through work, his sense of the game, his tactical science. Even if it didn’t last long, David Beckham, too, I retain his simplicity, his humility.”
