Video: Former FIFA President Mocks Kylian Mbappé on His Missed Scoring Opportunity in Champions League Final

Since resigning in 2015 as FIFA’s president, Sepp Blatter has kept a low-profile after leaving the position.

However, there are various occasions in which the 84-year-old will surface and give opinions on specific topics. Making an appearance on Europe 1, Blatter discussed the final of the UEFA Champions League between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern Munich.

There’s one incident in the match in which Blatter focused on in his interview, and that’s the missed scoring opportunity by Kylian Mbappé.

“The Bayern team had more willpower. They had more; I would say, this ‘grinta’ to win this match. PSG, I think it is based more on both big stars. And these two big stars, well this time,” Blatter said.

“It was not necessarily what we expected. Especially not from Neymar! But also in a situation, just before half-time, Mbappé, on his right foot. This ball at 9 or 10 meters, we put it in the nets. Me, I would have put it in the nets!”
