Dayot Upamecano took to the microphone with RMC Sport after being named man of the match in RB Leipzig’s 2-1 win over Atlético Madrid.
Even though the 21 -year-old didn’t factor on the scoresheet, he made his presence known in other areas. Upamecano had 100 touches over 90 minutes, where he won six of seven ground and three of four ariel duels.
The France international added five clearances, two tackles, and three interceptions on defense. Meanwhile, on the attack, he contributed two shots on target.
Upamecano discussed facing Paris Saint-Germain with the French media outlet.
“The PSG is the biggest club in France. We expect a big game. They have good offensive players and even defensive ones. We’re gonna give everything,” Upamecano said. “Neymar is a very, very good player.”
