After FC Bayern Munich’s 3-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais, right-back Benjamin Pavard took to the microphone with RMC Sport, where Canal Supporters relayed his words.

The French media outlet asked Pavard about their UEFA Champions League final opponent, Paris Saint-Germain. The 24-year-old touched discussed how he’s excited that it’s a French club that Bayern will be facing in the final on Sunday.

“It’s nice. It’s already a dream to play in the Champions League. After a final, you have to win it. We are going to play against Paris. I am very happy that it is a French club. Now Sunday, there will be no French club in my head, it will be the win and nothing else,” Pavard said. “We will retain the positive. Now there is a final. We’re going to get ready and rest to be ready on Sunday. An exceptional poster against PSG? Yes, it will be a beautiful poster for all French people. I think it’s going to be a good game, with two great teams facing off in the final. Now, we will prepare to win against Paris this Sunday.”

Furthermore, Les Parisiens have talents like Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr., but the Bavarian club isn’t afraid of PSG.

“How to block the PSG attack? It’s complicated because they have a full team, but so do we. So we don’t have to be afraid of PSG. We know that we are a great team, and we show it through our performances,” Pavard said. “We are calm, and we will quietly prepare to win on Sunday. Not afraid of PSG? No one scares us. We are Bayern Munich. We had a very big season. Now we have to make it happen by winning this Champions League.”
