Angel Di Maria missed the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Atalanta due to a yellow card accumulation suspension. But in his return to action, Di Maria is proving to Paris Saint-Germain once again on just how valuable he is as an attacking talent.
Di Maria assisted Marquinhos for the early 1-0 lead in the Champions League semifinal against RB Leipzig and followed it up with a tap-in score to double PSG’s lead. The sequence all began when PSG pounced on a kickoff error from the German side. Neymar received the ball in the penalty box within seconds after the team won back possession and proceeded to deliver an effortless pass to a waiting Di Maria, who scored the tap-in attempt for the 2-0 lead.
