‘Sometimes, You Journalists, You Publish Things’ – Juve President on Ronaldo Leaving for PSG

A few days ago, France Football published a report that linked Cristiano Ronaldo to Paris Saint-Germain. Despite the rumor being a crazy one, Juventus FC president Andrea Agnelli decided to address the topic.

Agnelli spoke with Sky Sports Italia after Juventus won 2-1 but were eliminated on aggregate by Olympique Lyonnais. The 44-year-old made it known that he will analyze his squad, but that the only one that will be safe from any departure will be Ronaldo.

RMC Sport relayed more comments made by Agnelli, who decided to take some anger on the media for publishing that story.

“Sometimes you journalists publish things,” Agnelli said. “He’s a pillar of Juve. It is not on a match that we must learn lessons about the season.”

The 35-yea-old hasn’t made any indication that he’d like to leave the Italian club. Furthermore, with the coronavirus pandemic affecting the capital club financially, PSG probably doesn’t want to pay the high wages of a Neymar Jr., Ronaldo, and Kylian Mbappé.

It’s safe to say that Agnelli should lower his concern over Ronaldo’s potential departure at this point.
