Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva could be set to miss the upcoming friendly against Ligue 2 side Sochaux, according to L’Equipe.
Silva suffered a slight injury in last week’s Coupe de la Ligue final win over Olympique Lyonnais. Manager Thomas Tuchel elected to sub him off as a result but the decision was made as a precaution. PSG did not report of any significant injury with Silva following the contest. He is slated to be fit for the UEFA Champions League duel against Atalanta next week.
The report also makes mention to both Marquinhos and Thilo Kehrer likely being out for the friendly. The Brazilian defender was subbed off in extra time of the recent cup final while the German talent played in 50 minutes of the contest. Like Silva, both are projected to be available for the Atalanta clash in eight days.
PSG scheduled the friendly against Sochaux as a way to prepare for the season-defining European fixture next week. With these three trio of defenders on par to miss the friendly, the club sure does hope that all will have no injury or rust concerns.
