Unexpected cash is always a welcome sight. For Paris Saint-Germain, the potential sum of money heading their way is from selling former youth product Odsonne Edouard to Celtic FC.
In 2018, Les Parisiens sold Edouard to the Scottish club for a fee of £8 million. However, aside from the money that went the other way to the Ligue 1 champions, there’s a future resale percentage.
With Everton FC, Leicester City FC, and Aston Villa FC showing interest in the 22-year-old, Celtic asks for at least €44 million from the English clubs, according to the Daily Mail. If a club meets the Scottish Premiership champions’ demands, the entire fee won’t be going their way.
The English media outlet adds that PSG will be receiving 40-percent of an Edouard sale. If Celtic does indeed receive €44 million, Les Parisiens could receive €18 million.
After receiving roughly €7 million for a youth product, adding an extra €11 million is a smart business deal.
