Report: PSG Exploring Potential Transfer Deal for Inter Milan Midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain is showing interest in a potential transfer deal for current Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report from Le10Sport.

The report mentions that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, has already reached out to Brozovic’s agent to discuss on where the midfielder currently stands with Inter Milan and if he plans to return to the club next season. The two sides also went ahead and spoke about such salary conditions that would be required to pull off a potential deal. While PSG is inquiring over the midfielder, Inter Milan is not completely closing the door on a possible deal because of its hope to offload players in place of upcoming signings.

Brozovic will become a free agent in 2022. The Croatian midfielder joined Inter in 2016 and has been a regular for the club since then. He has appeared in 165 Serie A games for the club since his arrival. Brozovic proved to be a reliable midfielder yet again this past season with 46 appearances, including a start in the UEFA Europa League final against Sevilla FC.

Brozovic is more of a defensive midfielder with an eye on being a ball-winning talent. While PSG is filled with midfielders on its current roster, Brozovic could fit in as a reliable depth talent.
