Report: PSG and Real Madrid Transfer Target Set to Consider Offers from Interested Clubs

Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga is set to consider offers from interested clubs, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet AS.

Camavinga has long been on the radar of Real Madrid. But according to the report, the reigning La Liga champions have no interest in pursuing such a deal this year due to the €80 million price tag placed by Rennes. Real Madrid remains interested in Camavinga, but it would prefer to restart negotiations again next year in hopes that the fee will then not be as high.

This has all created a dilemma for Camavinga: wait it out and explore joining Real Madrid next year, or seek out offers from other interested clubs? Per the report, Camavinga is entertaining the latter. He is reportedly giving “serious consideration” to offers from other clubs, with both PSG and FC Bayern Munich among those eyeing a deal.

Camavinga also has another option at hand, which includes committing to Rennes by signing a contract extension. If he signs a deal that would keep him at the club beyond 2022, it likely would then increase his transfer valuation.

At the moment, Camavinga has made no firm commitment to either joining a particular team or staying put at Rennes. Nonetheless, PSG and many other powerhouse clubs certainly know that they will have to pay a mega fee to acquire the up-and-coming talent.
