Premier League side Leicester City will consider pursuing a possible deal for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico, according to a report from the English-based publication Mirror (via Canal Supporters).
Per the report, Leicester City views Rico as one player who could soon replace current goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. With his age at 33 coupled with interest from other clubs, Leicester City is already planning ahead to the post-Schmeichel era.
Leicester City is not the only club interested in Rico. According to a report from Gianluca Di Marzio, Serie A side Lazio has pondered pursuing a deal for Rico as well. However, no reports have emerged of Lazio engaging in serious transfer talks for the Spanish goalkeeper.
Rico has made nine appearances in all competitions for PSG this season. He is set to return to his parent club, Sevilla FC, following Les Parisiens’ current UEFA Champions League run.
