Report: Juventus Is Targeting PSG’s Paredes To Bolster Midfield

With the UEFA Champions League now concluded, it seems that the transfer season will begin picking up steam over the next few weeks. Ligue 1 is the lone league of the top five in Europe who have started their 2020-21 season; nonetheless, that shouldn’t stop clubs from doing deals.

Paris Saint-Germain is one of those clubs in France that will look to make a deal or two to help strengthen their squad before starting their Ligue 1 season. However, Les Parisiens will also be seeing players depart from the club.

Edinson Cavani, Thomas Meunier, Eric Choupo-Moting, and Sergio Rico have all said goodbye. Thiago Silva could be joining them if the capital club decides not to follow through with a contract extension that they’re currently mulling over within the hierarchy.

Another name that could be heading out is Leandro Paredes. According to Sky Sports ItaliaJuventus FC is tracking the 26-year-old midfielder hoping that PSG is open to selling him.

With the Ligue 1 champions looking to add to their midfield and have a solid rotation that doesn’t consist of Marquinhos, it could be hard to see them letting a player go unless Juve wants to overpay.
