PSG Will Face Bayern Munich in 2020 Champions League Final

The stage is finally set for the 2020 UEFA Champions League Final as Paris Saint-Germain will face FC Bayern Munich.

Both teams were among the best in all of Europe this past season, and they each displayed exquisite, dominant play over their recent Champions League knockout stage fixtures. Bayern scored a combined 15 goals against Chelsea and FC Barcelona over the opening two rounds of the knockout stage. The reigning Bundesliga champions later defeated Olympique Lyonnais in the semis with a convincing 3-0 win to reach the final. On the other hand, PSG defeated Atalanta in thrilling fashion over the quarterfinal round and then secured a spot in the final following the dominant 3-0 win against RB Leipzig in the semis.

The two sides are in top form heading into the contest. PSG has won eight straight games in all competitions while Bayern is on a 29-game unbeaten streak. The impressive form as of late from the two sides can be credited to the plethora of world-class attacking talents each team rolls out in its starting 11 on a game-by-game basis.

Bayern will aim to win its sixth Champions League title and first since 2013 when it defeated rivals Borussia Dortmund in the final. Meanwhile, PSG is eyeing its first-ever Champions League final win.

The final is set for Aug. 23 from the modern Estadio da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal.

  1. PSG is good but Bayern is a better team. In on game everything can happen so it will be exciting anyway to watch this game. Both team was the strongest in this year. I hope for Bayern sixth Champions League title, it is a club with big big tradition and not financed by some arabs (like plastic-club PSG) or russion oligarch like some of the english or spanish top-clubs. For that reason alone, I hope that Bavaria wins as much as possible in the future.
