One half of this season’s UEFA Champions League bracket is now set, as Paris Saint-Germain will face RB Leipzig in the semifinals on Tuesday.
PSG advanced to its second-ever Champions League semifinals after defeating Atalanta in the quarterfinal round on Wednesday. It was not easy, but PSG pulled through with one of its most clutch victories in years. On the other hand, RB Leipzig advanced to its first-ever Champions League semifinals after defeating Atletico Madrid by a 2-1 final score. The German club took down Atletico Madrid with goals from Dani Olmo and Tyler Adams.
PSG has a history of squaring off with German clubs in the Champions League but has not faced Leipzig in this competition.
Leipzig will be without star forward Timo Werner as he completed a transfer move to Premier League side Chelsea and will not feature in any more fixtures with his now-former club.
The tie is set for Tuesday from Lisbon, Portugal.
