The 16-year-old talent was a member of PSGâs U17 side. He was offered a professional contract by Les Parisiens but declined it to instead sign with Reims. In an interview with France Football, he spoke about the family matter that ultimately made him decide to leave PSG and return to his hometown team.
âDuring confinement, my mother had the results of the blood tests she had just taken, and it was not good,â Adeline said. âShe has a big health problem. And my momâs health is more important than football.â
While he is leaving PSG, Adeline still has hopes to someday return to a top club.
âEven if I leave PSG, I do not give up my ambition to play at the high level,â Adeline said. âThis is why I chose Reims, it allows me to continue in a club which is in the process of becoming a big club again, with super modern facilities, while being close to my mom.â
This deal with Reims is Adelineâs first professional contract. He remains a promising midfielder to watch.
