After dealing with a nagging calf injury for much of the month, Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti was able to recover from the ailment just in time for the 2020 UEFA Champions League Final, as manager Thomas Tuchel subbed him in during the second half.

Verratti came on in place of midfielder Leandro Paredes, who had a fine showing in his playing time in the final. Paredes recorded four long balls completed and one goal-scoring chance created. However, Tuchel is likely looking for more control from his midfield, which more so than not explains why he decided to sub in the veteran Verratti.
It will be interesting to see how much of an impact Verratti will have for the remainder of the final. The team has had several goal-scoring chances in the contest but has failed to capitalize on all of them.
Bayern currently leads 1-0 in the second half of the final.
