PSG and Real Madrid Transfer Target Confirms he Will Stay at Rennes This Season

Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga has confirmed that he will stay at the club this season.

Camavinga is one of the most coveted midfielders in the sport today. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are among the many teams that have shown an interest in a possible transfer deal. According to a July report from the Spanish-based outlet AS, both clubs are interested in signing Camavinga, but they each have not had serious transfer talks with Rennes for the midfielder.

However, PSG and Real Madrid will not be completing such a transfer move anytime soon. In an interview with the French-based Telefoot (via L’Equipe), Camavinga stated that he will stay at Rennes this season.

“I have two years of contract left, I will be Rennais this season,” Camavinga said.

He also acknowledged the ongoing transfer rumors, but he said that they have not been a distraction to him.

“It doesn’t bother me at all,” Camavinga said. “It’s football. There are true things and false things.”

Stade Rennes is set to begin its Ligue 1 campaign against Lille on Saturday. Scouts from several powerhouse clubs in the continent sure will be tuning in to multiple Rennes fixtures this season to watch the midfield talent.
