Hertha Berlin Sporting Director Comments on Their Interest of Julian Draxler

Julian Draxler is a luxury player for Paris Saint-Germain, which is why they’re reportedly looking to sell the Germany international.

The transfer market for 26-year-old isn’t bringing much interest as only Hertha BSC is looking to purchase Draxler. Back when Jürgen Klinsmann was the manager, the 56-year-old had Draxler at the top of his transfer wish list

Despite Klinsmann stepping down after ten weeks on the job, the German club still has an interest, but understand that the feeling isn’t mutual. Hertha Berlin sporting director Michael Preetz talked with Foot Mercato, where the 53-year-old stated that a transfer for Draxler is difficult.

“He has a contract with Paris Saint-Germain, it’s well known, and he was also used in the Champions League final. It doesn’t help us. If the discussions continue every day, We try to do our job,” Preetz said.

If Draxler leaves the capital club, it’s likely to a club where he can receive starter minutes consistently and where he will be able to play in European competitions.

Hertha Berlin finished the 2019-20 season in tenth place, so they won’t play in Europe this upcoming year and likely taking them out of any deal for Draxler.
