Paris Saint-Germain winger and midfielder Angel Di Maria led the team to a massive 3-0 UEFA Champions League semifinal win over Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. UEFA honored the Argentine for his exceptional performance by naming him man of the match for the semifinal fixture.

After missing the quarterfinal fixture against Atalanta due to a yellow card accumulation suspension, Di Maria made his return to play against Leipzig and provided for a strong showing. He was involved in all three of PSG’s goals against the German side with a goal and two assists. It was a performance that PSG supporters will remember for quite some time.

Next up for Di Maria and PSG is a Champions League final duel against either FC Bayern Munich or Olympique Lyonnais. Di Maria has history with Bayern as he provided exquisite Champions League showings against them in 2014 during his Real Madrid tenure and also faced them in 2017 with PSG. He is well familiar with Lyon from his numerous encounters against them in league and cup competitions over the years.
