‘The Team is Confident and United’ — Neymar on PSG’s Current Form

Paris Saint-Germain returned to official competitive action last week with its Coupe de France final win over AS Saint-Etienne. Following the weeks of training along with a trio of friendly wins, the team looked more than prepared and focused during the contest. PSG now eyes its key upcoming season-defining fixtures.

In speaking to his official website, Neymar talked about the recent performances along with the mindset ahead as the team seeks to secure to more trophies.

“Our team made good friendly games in that return game and won another title,” Neymar said. “It was important to return to play after four months of recovery and getting back to the stage we were in, before the break. We have four finals ahead of us. We won the Coupe de France and we have the Coupe de la Ligue, in addition to the three Champions League games.”

Neymar also talked about the team’s current form. While he is satisfied with his individual performances, the Brazilian is also content with the team’s unity and play as of late.

“The team is confident and united,” Neymar said. “As I said, we always take the field to win. About the numbers, of course I’m happy. But it is obvious that this confidence and the team’s unity reflects on my individual performance, so I am even more satisfied. It is the sum of it all, everyone’s individual performance and a strong team that will lead us to win titles.”

The team’s quest to complete a domestic treble with conclude this week in the Coupe de la Ligue final against Olympique Lyonnais.
