Paris Saint-Germain is planning on being cautious and will not take risks with forward Kylian Mbappe’s ankle injury, according to the French-based L’Equipe (via Culture PSG).

Mbappe suffered the right ankle injury last Friday during the Coupe de France final against AS Saint-Etienne. During the first half, Saint-Etienne defender and team captain Loic Perrin came in for a sliding tackle attempt that ended up leaving Mbappe rolling in pain. Mbappe subsequently left the contest following the tackle and was later seen walking on crutches.

Mbappe is slated to miss an estimate of three weeks of action due to the ankle sprain injury. PSG will plan to be cautious with Mbappe’s health as health management has become a difficult matter between the two sides, per the report.

Nonetheless, it will be important for PSG to be cautious in its handling and management of Mbappe’s injury. Even if he is set to miss the UEFA Champions League bout against Atalanta next month, the big picture hope is for Mbappe to be fit and ready with the start of the league season quickly approaching.
