Report: PSG In Talks For Real Madrid Midfielder

Paris Saint-Germain is keeping tabs on Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, according to Le10Sport.

According to the report, PSG sporting director Leonardo has been in contact with renowned world football agent Jorge Mendes as of late. Among their discussions, James Rodriguez’s name was brought up as a player who could soon be on the move. Mendes reportedly offered the Colombian talent to PSG, but Leonardo and club officials have not engaged in serious transfer negotiations for the midfielder.

Rodriguez is among the top candidates in world football today to leave their respective clubs over the upcoming transfer window. He is coming off of a La Liga-winning campaign with Real Madrid, but he did not play as influential of a role on the team as he had hoped to. He missed time over the season due to a ligament injury, and when healthy, he simply did not play much. Over the second half of the season, he featured in a mere one game, which came against Real Sociedad last month.

Per the report, Atletico Madrid is also showing interest in a possible transfer deal for Rodriguez. Last year, Atletico Madrid showed intrigue in acquiring Rodriguez from its rival, but no deal ever materialized between the two sides.
