Report: Kehrer Could Miss Coupe de la Ligue Final Against Lyon Due to Injury

Paris Saint-Germain will likely decide to rule out right-back Thilo Kehrer from its upcoming Coupe de la Ligue final clash against Olympique Lyonnais, according to L’Equipe.

As with Kylian Mbappe, Kehrer left PSG’s recent Coupe de France final in the first half due to an injury. PSG later announced that the German talent suffered a right hip bone bruise injury in the contest.

According to the L’Equipe report, PSG is leaning toward keeping Kehrer out of its upcoming cup final in order to get him healthy and ready to go for its UEFA Champions League quarterfinal matchup against Atalanta next month.

If PSG elects to sideline Kehrer from this final, it may then mean that manager Thomas Tuchel could opt to start Colin Daga in the right-back position in the match. Dagba subbed in for Kehrer in the Coupe de France final. He featured in 70 minutes in the contest, which was his most minutes played in a fixture since January.

PSG likely would much prefer to have Kehrer focus on getting fit and healthy for its bout against Atalanta considering that it will already be without Angel Di Maria and possibly Kylian Mbappe for the match.
