PSG Talking Podcast: Everything is Clicking On and Off the Pitch

Paris Saint-Germain recently returned to the pitch after a four-month layoff due to the coronavirus so naturally, the PSG Talking podcast crew is back to recap the first two friendly matches and discuss the latest news involving the club.

Joining me on this episode, which was recorded on Friday, July 17, are fellow contributors Guillaume and Tyrone. We start the show by discussing the 7-0 win over Waasland-Beveren, which surprisingly included two incredible goals from Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. Other than the scoreline, we share the other positives supporters should take away from the game.

Then, we talk about last week’s match against Le Havre on the road. The 9-0 win over the Ligue 2 side will do little to give the naysayers a reason to believe PSG can defeat Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League but similar to the match against Waasland-Beveren, the effort level was impressive the squad appears to be linking up well and creating plenty of goal-scoring opportunities.

Leaving the pitch for a moment, we break down the back-and-forth war of words between Thomas Meunier and PSG’s sporting director, Leonardo, who was accused by the Belgian of giving false information to the media.

Our final topics include a discussion about Manchester City and why their Champions League ban was reversed. What does it mean for PSG in the seasons to come? We also check in on Atalanta and briefly break down their recent results.

The show wraps up with us answering a few questions sent in via Twitter.

As always, thank you for listening, and be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts.
