Video: The Sights and Sounds of PSG’s Return to Training

After a three-month layoff due to the coronavirus, 27 Paris Saint-Germain players returned to the training facilities last Monday to begin the process of being cleared for physical activity.

The players all wore masks as they greeted teammates and staff members. On Tuesday, after the medical tests were conducted, it was revealed that three PSG players and one staff member had the coronavirus while in confinement.

The good news is that the four in question are no longer contagious and will be able to participate in training without having to go into quarantine.

Those not in attendance for the tests and other training protocols are Edinson Cavani, Thomas Meunier, Tanguy Kouassi, and Adil Aouchiche. All four players are expected to leave the club on June 30, when their current contracts expire.

We’ll finally see the players back on a football pitch starting on Thursday when the team will train in small groups. Supporters can look forward to several friendly matches in July and then the two domestic cup finals, which will be played on the last two Fridays of July. Then, the UEFA Champions League resumes in August.
