Watching Neymar Jr. walk onto the Paris Saint-Germain training pitch on Thursday nearly brought a tear to my eye.

While all of the other top leagues in Europe have resumed their 2019-20 season in recent weeks, PSG players have remained in confinement until last Monday when the squad finally returned to the training facilities for medical tests and a return to the pitch in small groups.
Neymar and the rest of the squad will ramp up slowly as they prepare for several friendly matches in July and then two domestic cup finals at the end of the month. In August, Les Parisiens will resume their UEFA Champions League journey with hopes that they’ll be able to win their first title in club history. At the end of August, the 2020-21 Ligue 1 campaign will kick-off.
It’s been a long layoff for PSG but we’re starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel just as long as there isn’t another wave of the coronavirus pandemic.
