Spanish left-back Yuri Berchiche never misses an opportunity to defend Paris Saint-Germain from what the outside world thinks goes on inside the locker room.
Despite spending one season in Paris, the 30-year-old makes sure to debunk any false narrative that some in the media might have of Les Parisiens.
Last year one of the reported situations that went on inside the locker room was a dust-up between Neymar Jr. and Julian Draxler.
The capital club has a reputation of players running the club and how there’s tension amongst everyone inside the locker room.
Nonetheless, Berchiche recently spoke with Mundo Deportivo about what it’s like to be within the PSG clubhouse, which sometimes exaggerated by the media.
“There is a good atmosphere, even if we didn’t meet after training to have a drink. South Americans are used to bringing their families home after training,” Berchiche said. “They buy big houses with everything, with a swimming pool, barbecue. Relations there, inside the locker room, were very good. During the trips, we laughed a lot. There was no problem.”
Everyone already knows that the current Athletic Bilbao defender will always have a soft spot for PSG as he never misses an opportunity to tweet out support for his former club.
