After Tanguy Kouassi decided to sign a professional contract with FC Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain wasted little time targeting players from the Bavarian club.
However, before looking into Lucas Hernandez and David Alaba, a source close to the situation explained to RMC Sport that PSG sporting director, Leonardo, was “annoyed” over how things transpired with Kouassi.
Nonetheless, the Brazilian is ready to “fight back”, which is why he’s reportedly interested in the two Bayern defenders, but of the two, Hernandez seems to be the primary target for Leonardo.
Les Parisiens are hoping to lower the €80 million price tag Bayern has on the 24-year-old as the German club would like to recoup the money they invested when they purchased him from Atlético Madrid last summer.
That is a price that’s too steep for PSG to pay, considering that the coronavirus pandemic has effected clubs financially. Although Hernandez is a talented player, he does have an injury history that can put some pause in the pursuit.
It will be interesting to see how high tensions go as the last time the two clubs did business, PSG ended up with a bargain in Juan Bernat, and Bayern won’t be looking to make the same mistake twice.
