Every top club in Europe could use a player like Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić but Paris Saint-Germain are the ones who reportedly are the closest to pulling off the blockbuster transfer.
According to ParisFans, the Ligue 1 champions have come to an agreement with Milinković-Savić regarding his salary, which is expected to be approximately €7 million per year.
Ideally, PSG would sign both Milinković-Savić and his Lazio teammate Adam Marusic in a package deal but ParisFans reveal that the capital club would like to offload Julian Draxler in order to fund the €80 million it would take to sign both players.
Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, has made Milinković-Savić his top transfer target and Marusic would likely be an immediate starter following the departure of Thomas Meunier whose contract is about to expire at the end of the month. Signing the Serbian midfielder will be tough though with Manchester United eager to make a big splash after the inevitable departure of Paul Pogba heading into next season.
Nothing is official yet and while French clubs can complete transfers between themselves starting on Monday, we still don’t know when the international transfer window will open.
