While there’s been a lot of transfer chatter about Real Madrid’s interest in Kylian Mbappé, Los Blancos should probably start to worry about Paris Saint-Germain taking one of their promising players away.
According to AS, PSG is determined to sign Takefusa Kubo who only arrived at Real Madrid in August of 2019 and immediately went out on a season-long loan to RCD Mallorca.
The report out of Spain revealed that Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, made his intention to sign Kubo known this month but he was rejected by the player and Real Madrid who are not interested in selling the 19-year-old prodigy who has a buy-out clause of €250 million.
Kubo would like to feature in the Real Madrid first team next season but it remains to be seen if Zinedine Zidane will give the winger an opportunity or if he’ll go out on another loan.
One thing we know for sure is that with PSG working on contract extensions for Kylian Mbappé and Neymar Jr., they can’t go afford €250 million for a player very much still developing and nowhere near the quality of Mbappé when he was that age.
