Report: Neymar to Arrive in Paris on Saturday; Available For Training

Much to the delight of Paris Saint-Germain supporters, Neymar Jr. is expected to be in the French capital on Saturday.

Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic last March, Neymar has been in his native Brazil where he’s in confinement with family and friends. According to L’Equipe, the 28-year-old superstar is expected to board a flight on Friday evening and arrive in Paris the following day.

The timing is crucial because Brazil is currently experiencing a spike in coronavirus cases. If Neymar arrived in France after June 15, it’s possible the government would require him to quarantine for 14 days. That would mean he would miss the PSG’s return to training on June 22. It’s yet another move from Neymar where he is showing professionalism and putting the team first.

With talks of a mid-summer friendly tournament and then the Coupe de France final, Coupe de la Ligue final, and the resumption of the UEFA Champions League, the summer is shaping up to be very busy and after a long layoff, Neymar and his teammates will need as much time on the training pitch as they can get.
