Milan Midfielder Embarrassed to Ask For a Transfer to PSG

If you believe the reporting over the past couple of months, AC Milan’s Ismaël Bennacer is a player Paris Saint-Germain would very much like to have in the squad next season and the feeling is apparently mutual.

As reported by Compétition.dz (via Sempre Milan), a close friend who is in contact with Bennacer has said that the Algeria international would prefer a transfer to PSG over Manchester City, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

“I would like to sign for this club [PSG]. Besides the sporting and financial aspect, I love Paris, a city where life is good,” Bennacer reportedly told this close friend.

The only problem is Bennacer is reportedly too embarrassed to ask Milan executives for a transfer to PSG to help move the negotiations forward.

“By correction towards a club which allowed me after a few weeks to have an international reputation, I am really embarrassed to go knock on the door of the president and tell him that I want to leave,” Bennacer apparently said according to the report.

Unlike Bennacer, the Emir of Qatar is never shy about what he wants and according to Le10Sport, he is keen on bringing the midfielder to Paris. In an attempt to please his bosses, Leonardo, PSG’s sporting director, has put forth a couple of offers for Bennacer but Milan has yet to agree to the terms.

The recent agreement between PSG and Layvin Kurzawa to extend his contract means that the club will likely not have to sign a left-back this offseason and could potentially increase their offer for Bennacer. If it’s true that the player wants to leave for PSG, the Ligue 1 champions should make a strong offer for him.
