Mbappé and LeBron James Releasing a Nike Clothing Line

If you thought Kylian Mbappé’s off-the-pitch ambitions would take a hit while playing for Paris Saint-Germain, well, you would be wrong.

The Frenchman has reached a level that he doesn’t need to play in the Premier League or with Real Madrid or FC Barcelona, he’s a household name at 21-years-old and he did it at PSG and in Ligue 1.

According to Culture PSG, Mbappé will look to expand his brand by teaming up with LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers to release a clothing line with Nike.

“KYLIAN MBAPPE X LEBRON JAMES” will be the name of the collaboration, which will feature pants, a sweat jacket, a t-shirt, and a hooded sweater with no release date yet announced.

The collection will undoubtedly help Mbappé reach a whole new audience of fans who may primarily watch basketball but will now want to venture into football to watch the PSG kid that everyone is talking about.

  1. I love and follow the fashion pieces closely! Thank you, Eduardo!

Its fascinating in how the big brand like Nike can profit from the right moves with the right players.

I have grown “conspiracy theories” about the influence the brands have on transfers with big names like Mbappe, Neymar, Ronaldo and Messi. The brands “poster boys”.

Back in days we saw the opposite were the player made the brand (like Michel Jordan)

Well, well, well. How the turntables…

Both Nike and Adidas missed out on Messi and Ronaldo but surly they will not make that mistake again.

That’s why I think that Real Madrid signing Mbappe is painful for Nike because of the lucrative deal Real has with Adidas. So my theories tell me that Nike would give Mbappe a more lucrative deal if he chooses to play in team that Nike already/or will have (Liverpool) sponsored.

Look at Ronaldo, Nike sponsored player in an Adidas sponsored team. All kids (and fans) want the player jersey.
Just stop and think about it if Nike’s poster boy can’t be advertised in his club colors.

It’s the same thing with Messi, Adidas player in a Nike sponsored team. Adidas has the player with most sold jersey i world but its Nike shirt. Must be painful.

    Conclusion.
Either both Neymar and Mbappe will stay with us or (god forbid) we will lose Mbappe to Liverpool and Neymar to Barcelona.
