Olympique Lyonnais is known for developing exceptionally talented footballers and Houssem Aouar is no different.
The 21-year-old central-midfielder came up through the Lyon system but like most of their young stars, the time has come for him to move on.
According to RMC Sport, Lyon is prepared to sell Aouar and they have a transfer fee of €50 million in mind. The report lists Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain as potential suitors.
Aouar would fill one of PSG’s priorities for the upcoming transfer window, which is to sign a midfielder, but at 5’9″, he doesn’t fill the need of an imposing force in the center of the park.
For me, that €50 million would be better applied for a player like Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić, who in my opinion is better and he also stands 6’3″.
While I would love for one of the best players in Ligue 1 to remain in France, I believe Aouar will be going abroad in the upcoming transfer window.
