For as long as Kylian Mbappé remains at Paris Saint-Germain, there will always be rumors of a potential move to Real Madrid.
Even if the 21-year-old signs an extension, they’ll still be supporters of Los Blancos flocking to every single tweet with the France international photoshopped in a Real Madrid kit.
Despite the investments Qatar Sports Investment has made into PSG over the last nine years, it hasn’t yet given Les Parisiens that European cache that other big clubs have.
It’s the elite status that former Manchester United striker Louis Saha says that the capital club has yet to obtain from winning a UEFA Champions League.
Furthermore, the 41-year-old went on to call PSG “a club still in development” in an interview with beIN Sports.
“Some may not understand, but when you are in Paris, a club still in development that is not at the level of Real Madrid, Barça, or Juventus, there will always be the rumor of a departure,” Saha said. “He’s a great player; he has to deal with it. Now, for his choice, it is up to him to do according to his feeling, the coach, what is asked of him.”
Until Ligue 1 champions finally conquer Europe and win the club’s first Champions League trophy, these types of comments will always hang over them, so they must capitalize on this current run once the tournament resumes in August.
